BURBANK, Los Angeles County — 2026 election update. Burbank’s hotel and motel occupancy tax proposal has a large Yes majority in the preliminary election results.
Reported results
21,802 Yes votes (78.43%) and 5,995 No (21.57%) for Measure C.
What voters decided
The city’s ballot describes an increase in the transient occupancy tax from 10% to 12%, paid by qualifying hotel and motel guests. Burbank projected that the change could raise about $3 million a year for general municipal services, including fire and emergency response, public safety, homelessness and youth or senior programs. This is a budget estimate, not confirmed collected revenue or a guarantee to each program. Measure C is separate from the charter election proposals CC and CD.
